Our History

Our history began in the western slopes of Colorado, supporting the oil and gas industries, where we blended our engineering and field service knowledge to create PADPro. This truly unique product simplified the way producers set up automation for their wellhead. Since its introduction, we’ve helped hundreds of clients improve efficiency and performance at over 2,000 wellheads across the country.

Strata is a Corporate Group Inc. member company, a private investment firm that provides centralized leadership and operational support. Corporate Group ownership has thrived since 1933 because of its diversified, long-term investment approach to business.

With over 25 years of dedicated service and a robust national footprint, Strata Innovative Solutions, alongside its sister companies, boasts a 100’s of professionals ready to service our valued customers. Through the years, we built our engineering team to include application specialists trained in SCADA, DCS, and PLC-RTU-HMI programming. Our engineering experience spans various industries with capabilities in integration, SCADA systems, Data Analytics, Automation, and Technical Services, including Powerline, Leadership, Our Strategic Partners and Safety at Strata.

Our Leadership

Tom Gebhardt | Acting President

Tom is the managing partner of Monarch Capital Partners and acting President of Strata Innovative Solutions. With a dream of building businesses, Tom spent 25 years as the President of a family-owned business specializing in complex rubber and plastic components. The company grew to reach international success.

Tom is committed to sharing his knowledge and passion for success to inspire others and build a customer-centric approach. A true believer in the power of shared journeys, Tom’s core values include integrity, accountability, passion, collaboration, and discipline.

Mohamed Shahid | Project Engineering Manager

Mohamed designs and commissions automation, control, and information systems. His expertise is in recommending and developing Industry 4.0 digital infrastructure from edge to cloud through all levels of the automation stack. Mohamed has more than a decade of experience with instrumentation, automation, and control systems in onshore and offshore E&P, midstream pipeline transmission, W&WW, manufacturing plants, power generation, and transmission. He holds an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

Mohamed’s motto: For extraordinary results, attitude is as important as ability.
