Strata Innovative Services was awarded the electrical installation contract for a Saltwater Disposal (SWD) facility, delivering a fully integrated electrical and instrumentation system to ensure efficient and safe operations. Our scope of work included the installation of cabling, conduit, grounding, wire management, lighting, and major equipment wiring, ensuring compliance with all area classifications and industry standards.
Electrical Systems & Installation
Our team provided and installed:
- Cabling & Wire Management: Routed and installed all cables, grounding rods, wire trays, and conduits, ensuring proper termination and wire management throughout the facility.
- Conduit Installation: Performed all exterior, aboveground, and underground conduit installation, routing connections to end devices.
- Junction Boxes: Installed designated junction boxes as specified in the project drawings.
- Cable Trays & Supports: Designed and installed structured cable tray systems to support electrical infrastructure.
- Yard Lighting: Installed high-efficiency LED yard lighting for enhanced visibility and operational safety.
Major Equipment Wiring & Grounding:
We installed, wired, and provided proper grounding for the following critical components
- Electrical Panels & Transformers: Ensured safe and efficient power distribution to all facility equipment.
- Drives & Motors: Wired and grounded variable frequency drives (VFDs) and associated motors to support pump and compressor operations.
- Tanks & Process Equipment: Connected electrical and instrumentation components for injection pumps, transfer pumps, and separation vessels.
- Instrumentation & Metering: Installed and terminated electrical and instrumentation devices, including flow meters and control systems.
Testing & Verification
- Conducted point-to-point checks and labeled all cables and wires before loop testing.
- Performed Megger testing on all three-phase wires, cables, and motors to verify insulation integrity.
- Provided as-built drawings to the Company Electrical Foreman or Inspector upon project completion.
- Coordinated fiber optic terminations with Blackbrush, the designated subcontractor.
