Project Overview

Strata Innovative Services has performed the electrical/automation and control systems installation of several water treatment & recycling services, supporting sustainable produced water reuse in oil and gas operations. This type of water reclamation service is designed to treat, recycle, and redistribute high-quality reclaimed water for hydraulic fracturing, disposal, or other industrial applications. Our scope of work included the complete design, installation, and integration of electrical and control systems to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant operations.

Electrical Systems & Installation

Strata provided and installed:

  • Cabling & Wire Management: Installed all cables, grounding rods, wire trays, and conduits, ensuring structured wire management for process reliability.
  • Conduit Installation: Completed aboveground and underground conduit installation, routing connections to pumps, filtration units, and automation systems.
  • Junction Boxes & Panels: Installed designated junction boxes, panelboards, and control cabinets as specified in project drawings.
  • Cable Trays & Supports: Designed and installed structured cable tray systems to support electrical infrastructure.
  • Site Lighting: Installed high-efficiency LED yard lighting to enhance visibility and operational safety.

Major Equipment Wiring & Grounding

Strata installed, wired, and provided proper grounding for the following critical components

Water Treatment & Filtration Systems:

  • Reverse Osmosis (RO) & Membrane Filtration Units to remove dissolved solids and contaminants
  • Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) Systems for suspended solids and oil separation

Solids and Liquid Separation Systems:

  • Dewatering and Separation achieves zero liquid waste
  • Plate and Frame Filter Press where separation of solids and liquid happen using pressure filtration and is dewatered under pressure
  • Screw Press-Provides sludge dewatering by conveying the sludge through a screw mechanism to exert pressure on the material leaving behind a drier solid product

Pumps & Fluid Transfer Systems:

  • High-Volume Transfer Pumps for water movement through treatment stages
  • Transfer & Circulation Pumps to support storage and distribution
  • Filtration Backwash Pumps to maintain treatment system efficiency

Storage & Distribution Infrastructure:

  • Treated Water Storage Tanks to hold processed water before reuse
  • Pipeline Tie-Ins for integration into surrounding, buried pipeline networks

Automation & Instrumentation:

  • SCADA integration for remote monitoring and control of treatment processes
  • Flow meters and inline sensors for real-time water quality monitoring
  • Level and Flow control using an automated system to control flow from Influent to Effluent water
  • Chemical dosing and monitoring systems for optimized treatment efficiency

Testing & Verification:

  • Conducted point-to-point checks and labeled all cables and wires before loop testing.
  • Performed Megger testing on all three-phase wires, cables, and motors to verify insulation integrity.
  • Provided as-built drawings to the Company Electrical Foreman or Inspector upon project completion.
